On the heels of an exciting and exhausting week in Las Vegas, I wanted to share some of my experiences and insights on last week’s RSPA RetailNow Convention and Exposition. RetailNow is the premier convention and expo for all professionals in the retail technology industry. It caters to point-of-sale developers, value added resellers and all types of hardware and software innovators in the payments industry.
We had a major presence at the show this year primarily supporting the launch of our Genius™ Customer Engagement Platform™. Our week began with our Genius launch party on Monday evening. The event, attended by hundreds of industry leaders, was an amazing way to kick off the week’s events. Featuring a magician, dancers, and an incredible setting, everyone enjoyed the food, drink, and networking.
As the educational sessions kicked-off on Tuesday morning, I extracted some new insights on mobile payments, loyalty and customer engagement then headed to the expo hall. Featuring four partners, Clover, Combase, LevelUp and Lightspeed, our booth was a valued stop for many. It was also the first live demonstration of Genius, which drew a lot of interest and excitement from attendees.
Education, networking, demonstrations and, of course, the parties, RetailNow was everything we expected and more this year. With more than 1,800 attendees and over 150 exhibitors, the event was filled with new ideas and new opportunities.
