Boston Cares Honors Merchant Warehouse with the 2009 Corporate Friendship Award Date: Apr 21, 2009
On Tuesday, April 21st, 2009, Boston Cares recognized Merchant Warehouse for its involvement in volunteer and charity organizations by honoring the company with the 2009 Corporate Friendship Award at their annual reception at Nixon Peabody in Boston, MA.
The event, held from 5:30-8:30pm, included hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and an acceptance speech from Sarah-Beth Chester, Merchant Warehouse’s Manager of Corporate Philanthropy and Green Initiatives. This award recognized the particular commitment and remarkable relationship that Sarah-Beth, in conjunction with Merchant Warehouse, has made with Boston Cares. Although this reward represents the impact she has had in growing our philanthropy program, Sarah-Beth gave great credit to Merchant Warehouse and its employees’ for their perpetual devotion.
“This award speaks volumes about the efforts that Merchant Warehouse and its employees have given to events in the Boston community, including our participation in Frosty’s Friends, JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenges, Habitat for Humanity, the Greater Boston Food Banks, employee-nominated “Casual Friday” donations which run the gamut of causes and projects,” stated Henry Helgeson, Co-CEO of Merchant Warehouse.
