Last week we hosted over 100 of our top agents at our fourth annual Innovate Agent and ISO Conference. This year, we had a record number of registrations, attendees and sponsors, who gathered at the Westin Copley in Boston for two intense days of learning and networking. In addition to foundational training on combatting attrition, attracting and landing profitable accounts, building a successful sub-agent program and selling Genius in today’s market, we also introduced a major new initiative for the channel: POS Marketplace.
It’s no secret that the days of ‘trunk sales’ based on price and service are beginning to fade. New tablet based and affordable ‘POS in a box’ solutions continue to hit the marketplace and offerings from Square, Leaf, Shopify and others are and will continue to threaten stand-alone payment processing merchant relationships.
And, Merchant Warehouse has a wide range of tablet-based developers certified as integrated partners, so the idea was born for POS Marketplace. With presence this year from Combase, eNabler, GoPago, Maitre’D, pcAmerica, POSIOS, Revel Systems, and TabPOS, the POS Marketplace was a huge hit. The agents left excited and invigorated by this new sales and earning opportunity and the channel marketing team will continue to work with agent, partner and training to foster POS sales – making it easier for our agents to expand their business footprint.
