On Saturday December 9th, 24 employees from Merchant Warehouse took a break from their holiday preparations to volunteer at the Greater Boston Food Bank.
During the session, the 24 volunteers helped inspect, sort and categorize 15,000 pounds of donated food. With an average meal weight of 1.3 pounds, Merchant Warehouse employees helped prepare over 11,000 meals that will be distributed to hungry people all over New England.
"We were so excited to get involved with the Greater Boston Food Bank", said Henry Helgeson, President of Merchant Warehouse. "This time of the year it is especially important to remember those less fortunate, and we were proud to team up with such a fantastic organization,"
