Boston, MA – June 28, 2012 – Merchant Warehouse today announced it is working with Isis™, the mobile commerce joint venture created by AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless. Merchant Warehouse will activate merchants to accept Isis’ contactless payments and commerce.

Merchant Warehouse was founded in 1998 on the principle that businesses should be able to purchase credit card machines and open merchant accounts at a reasonable cost and, at the same time, receive superior service and support. With the recent launch of Genius™, Merchant Warehouse has again changed the landscape of the payment solutions industry. A Customer Engagement Platform™, Genius delivers a unified platform solution for merchants, point-of-sale developers, value added resellers (VARs) and agents that aggregates and integrates every conceivable transaction technology, payment type, and value-add program.

“Working with Isis supports our vision to bring mobile payments to the masses,” said Merchant Warehouse Co-CEO Henry Helgeson. “Isis brings a huge amount of consumer interest and merchant excitement around the future of mobile payments. With this relationship, Merchant Warehouse is able to play a role in facilitating the next generation of consumer/merchant interactions.”

Isis uses Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology at the point-of-sale to allow merchants to accept payments, loyalty cards and coupons all with a tap of a consumer’s phone. Merchants can leverage Isis as a platform to gain exposure, build relationships, and extend loyalty programs and relevant offers to customers.

“Activating merchants is a critical step toward enabling the wide-spread adoption of mobile commerce,” said Tony Abruzzio, business development executive at Isis. “We’re pleased to work with Merchant Warehouse to offer merchants a meaningful way to engage customers and build loyalty.”
